After 5 years waiting for a new home, T Rex was adopted by Joan and Doug Taylor and became a much-loved member of their family for over 2 years with his new name of Muffin.

After an operation to resolve a kidney problem that has been causing him pain, Muffin had a new lease on life settled in well and showed great affection towards Joan and Doug and even their cockatiel.

Sadly on Saturday 10th April he finally succumbed to disease of his one remaining kidney.

"We are privileged to have had the opportunity to look after him in his last few years, although naturally we wish it had been for longer.  He was a special boy."
